[Misc] Help with make of car.

Friend has been sent a PCN from Hillingdon Council. The number plate is correct but not the car. My friend owns a SAAB Convertible and has done for many years. It is currently SORN and in his workshop. He has never been to Hillingdon.

He has appealed once and they have said he sent no evidence. He did, he sent (I did it for him as he doesn't have a computer) the MOT notice showing it's SORN and that it's a completely different car. All the lazy bastards have done is update the PCN to state it's a SAAB. I have sent a picture of a SAAB 9-3 Convertible

Agree with this, based on the shape of the rear light cluster and the lights inset into the bumper.

It's clearly not a convertible - looks as though it's got roof-rack bits? Are you/they sure that's not a U at the end?

Challenge a parking ticket - Hillingdon Council

If you believe a parking ticket was incorrectly issued, you can challenge it.

It's KM08 MBU, which is a Saab 9-3 Aerowagon (Estate), and it's Taxed & MoT'd until 2026.

Yes - that's what I thought. And MBO is currently SORNed. I think we need @PILTDOWN MAN to clarify the registration of his mate's car. If it's O, then it looks to me as though the council have simply misread the registration plate.

There's his appeal then. That really does look like a U. Send in a photo of his car from the same angle showing his reg plate.

When license plates are issued to dealerships, they typically run consecutively. It's likely they received a new delivery of SAABS, all getting similar plates.

I think it's a system malfunction, it the U mistaken for an O or the other way around.

It's not a parking ticket but you can appeal online. I did it once but they just sent it back out again. Thanks to the kind folk of NSC I have appealed 5 times tonight with evidence.
