The 3 customers have therefore paid £9 each which is £27 total and the waiter has kept £2. What has happened to the other pound? At the time of writing I genuinely don't know the answer! HELP

The 'trick' part of the question is here.

The way it says it makes you mentally add the '27 + 2'

in fact you should be taking it way to reach the bill 27 - 2 = 25

most, like me eventually clicked it was a trick question.
I think you'll find that most of us knew it was a trick question straight away, and knew that there was no missing £1 and that you were simply confused/fishing.

To be fair some did. I'm sure you were being a bit wise after the event and hiding in the crowd. Now if there was a question on being a snide then you'd fair pretty well. Now slime off buddy!
