I keep getting emails saying my credit card has expired on my paypal account and asking me to re-input the details. It hasn't expired. Is this a scam? I've been deleting the emails to be on the safe side.

It's a obvious scam. It's something they call phishing. If you follow the link your probably end up on a fake site where they ask you to enter your bank details, probably so they can "refund" your money. If you do it they will be off to have a fun old time at your expense. Don't touch it. Don't even follow the link (that'll just tell them that they have a live one), if you can avoid it (too late now) don't even open it.
I had one the other day from "E-Bay". Funny because I don't have an e-bay account and have never used e-bay.

Almost certainly. No legitimate business will send out e-mails like that. If you're worried go to paypal directly (not using the link in the e-mail - which is probably fake) and check your account details. If you're still worried e-mail them (using the e-mail on the REAL website) or call them and check.

I think the thing is it's so cheap to send hundreds of thousands of e-mails that if only a tiny percentage of people get caught out you're quids in.
