Been in all the papers, and I can't help thinking how HOT this Heidi Withers girl is. Her future mother-in-law does sound like a nasty old trout, though.

Some of what the mother in law said is fair enough. Some of it is ridiculous.

Heidi would get it hard, however.

What a spineless email. Things like that should be said face-to-face, or not at all.

Exactly, she probably had some valid points but it isn't her place to tell her future daughter-in-law how to behave, she is what she is and her son has chosen to be with her. The odd tactful comment and disapproving look is one thing but you don't say it out blatently in email.

I feel sorry for the son, he's going to find himself in a very tricky situation now.

You haven't seen the email mum has got lined up for your g/f. She was going to send it, but it transpired she had missed off an awful lot of bad points. Don't worry, Tim and I have edited it and added to it accordingly.

I think the thing that annoys me most about this (and for some reason it does annoy me, even though it has nothing to do with me) is that the Mother-in-Law has proven herself to be the one with no class.

Exactly. By sending the email, she has proven herself to be the person with no class.

Nothing wrong with that email. Some people have no idea how to behave and I'm glad she's being put straight.

If Heidi was ugly I doubt so many people would be coming to her aid.

Interesting too, that she is actually the groom's STEP mother, so has herself married into the rich family, at some earlier point.

Yeah but she's Australian, I'd be disappointed if she had good manners. I think I've managed to drum into her the family philosophy that Ben is the black sheep.

Some of the points in the email are ridiculous. Especially the intolerance towards later risers in a house of early risers. When we have guests at our house, I want them feeling relaxed enough to get up when they choose to - not tell them they have to get up at 7am on a Sunday just because the rest of the house chooses to.

Can't really tell if she's a hottie or nottie with those ridiculous bug-eyed Bono sunglasses covering half her boat.
