Let's just say it is another FFA campaign initiative.

It is not (repeat NOT) that we are expecting JP to announce anything in London tomorrow, so please do not think that is going to happen.

This is merely another media opportunity for us to highlight the need for Falmer.

Thanks

Yes-we KNOW it ISN'T an announcement from JP's office. It is however an 'initiative and media opportunity' which we're curious about.

They want us in London tomorrow-we want to know why. It's quite simple really.

Having had a full read through and seen Paul Samrah's post I must say I am not too happy with this.

Why all the cloak & dagger stuff? The original e-mail hints at something major like the final announcement by JP especially with the "can't say too much at present" line.

To find out that it is not the final decision and another protest puts a dampner on the whole thing.

The original e-mail should have clearly stated the Falmer announcement would not be made tomorrow and this is worse than any "rumour" thread we have had...The Falmer For All team should know better.

Albion & England forever.

might it be something to do with a certain bid that made a certain short list earlier today?

If its genuine then why not keep quiet or spill the beans none of this secrecy crap

Like I said earlier-maybe they want to be in charge of when the 'initiative' story breaks. If it leaks out to say, The Arsegas, its impact might be diluted?

I'm sure there's good reason for the secrecy having had time to think about it.

I refer the honourable Braders to a post I made earlier:lolol:

Or Falmer For All banners on display at all of the proposed Olympic sites

Having spoken to Tim Carder a few minutes ago, I now know what's happening. For reasons that aren't clear, I've been asked not to reveal the details. But it's nothing very dramatic. No doubt there'll be a photo in the Argus.

Please calm down, everyone!!

I was just seeking a handful of people to support a stunt tomorrow. It is nothing profound or too exciting, I promise. All will be revealed Wednesday I'm sure, but until then I can't really say too much.

I apologise for the intrigue but it really is nothing to get worked up about and I now have the volunteers.

Thanks for the explanation, Tim.

I think, however, that the very brevity of the message and the tantalising reference to "central London" meant that people made the not unreasonable assumption that a meaningful announcement was on the cards.

Add the fact that nobody on NSC was asked if they could volunteer - the message being passed on, third-hand from the mailing list - and you have the perfect recipe for a storm in a bobblehat.

You clearly only need a handful of people which is why this didn't go "public" on here, I'm assuming but NSC has given the cause ENORMOUS support so it gives a rather confusing message when "exciting things" appear to be happening yet nobody from here appears to be required to participate.

Hindsight is a great thing I know but perhaps "handfuls" of people are best collected up quietly rather than via any sort of Albion discussion forum!

I think it is very bad judgement to start this off as a potential "The Announcement" thread.

I'll get flamed for this but here we go - I am totally "Falmer fatigued" probably through ignorance of understanding the planning process and time it takes etc but I am not into that. If you want to talk Project and Service management I'm your man but I don't do planning.

All we want is a decision and any hint of one will get everyone clamming to hear the result.

Why does it take so long ? DK suggested - I SAID SUGGESTED BEFORE EVERYONE QUOTES AS GOSPEL - after Euro Elections was a possible announcement.

Please now just let us know when or where we can all stand collectively together to know yes or no. I'd rather be with real fans when the announcement is made come rain or shine.

Come on, is it only me who thinks this thread is JUST SO NSC and utterly hilarious. Inevitable really, pre-the Falmer decision, pre-play-off cliffhanger - you won't get a more feverish atmosphere than we have now. Pointless telling anyone to relax, if you're not totally HYPER and WIRED right now, what kind of Albion fan are you :drink:  MOOD-SWING-tastic!!!!!

I reckon the London Olympic thing could be it, we turn up with Falmer banners saying its the ideal place for an Olympic Event, the organisers agree and tell JP and his Office of their stance and its another nail in the coffin for the Duck Pond!

Still all the hush hush is abit weird, and as i've said before this is an internet messageboard, just like the thousands of other boards on the 'net rumours and lies happen daily and one person saying one thing can be blown out of all proportions.
