Just a warning to any Haywards Heath residents that take the route mentioned in the title.

Sheet of ice on the road, slipped like mad only doing 30, very dangerous! Ansty roundabout, turning right from Haywards Heath.

Went along there last night before it froze. A few sections of standing water at that point and I thought to myself that it'd be a nightmare today.

That's what it was, think one of the fields there drains water onto the road.

The road was gritted, but there's only so much they can do.

What they need to do is sort out the source of the problem. There is no way that an A road should be flooded on a regular basis. Not rocket science to fix the drainage.

Drove through at about 07:45 and that bit was fine, Balcombe road was dodgy though!

Had a Motorcycle come off in front of me yesterday at 6.30am, still looks very dodgy today.

Was tempted to ride out today but Fireblade + Ice = driving along one minute then 0.1 seconds later breaking pelvis on a kerb.
