Theoretically what could the FA do if we signed a Palace player during half time and that player then scored an own goal.

I know it would never happen but it's a strange one isn't.

E.g. Agent tells Murray that he's been signed by Brighton, Murray bags a second half hat trick of own goals to give his new team the points. Who's to blame...

Yes I know if we were in transfer talks he would wouldn't play anyway but just play the game.

It has all kinds of repercussions in a theoretical world!!

there is simply no way any team is going to sign over a player during the game.....an preparations would be at an advanced stage and it would occur before or after match

If that was going to happen, why need it be on transfer deadline day, as opposed to any other match day in the window? It's not as if the window closes during the match. Anyway, would never happen as a deal getting that close to happening in teh run-up to the game would see the player pulled out of the match.

I know!! but as I said theoretically.

Also it must be a bit of a nightmare for agents (not that I give a shit).

When does the paperwork have to be in to the FA by, isn't it 5.30pm tomorrow, making it not possible to sign someone in the evening? Might get interesting if not, as Charlton have reportedly invited Murray Wallace to come and watch our game tomorrow night (us, you, Ipswich and Hudds have all had bids accepted by his club). Presumably he would have already signed for someone by then though, otherwise it could get messy with Ipswich, Hudds and Albion reps trying to fight their way into the Valley with contracts for him...

without being certain, My hunch would be us or Ipswich getting him...... Hudds may have a chance as closest to home, Ipswich will prob offer more in wages, but we're sitting prettier in the league at the mo

Theoretically, the player wouldn't be able to play in the second half because CP did not hold his registration.

I am sure the window closes at 11 p.m. but there might be a seperate rule for London clubs as they are in a different time zone or is it just a different world !
