Was part of the rifle team for the ATC

Fired the SA80 regularly as part of the ATC. Range only.

Belonged to a rifle club for a few years in the early 00’s

Fired many weapons during my time as a stunt performer and actor, contemporary and period weapons;

AK47’s
Various pistols
MG 42
GPMG
Bren Gun
Johnson light
M15
M1911
Colts and a few Smith & Wessons
Webleys

To be honest, just about most going.

I’ll be honest, it is great fun. Don’t know why. It just is.

However, I am happy that we have very strict gun control laws.

Yes, on a clay pigeon corporate day. Gawd it was boring zzzzz.

And paint balling …. great fun.
Clay pigeon I found deathly dull as well.

I don’t like shotguns. I don’t like corporate events. I don’t like people who like corporate events.

Could have gone very wrong 😑

I can even tell you the day.
15th October 1966, whilst on holiday in Blackpool with my parents, they bought me a gun that fired some sort of round ball. Nothing more than a kiddy toy. I know the date because we drove home the day of the Aberfan disaster.

We had to attend, because the boss wanted photos on the business’s Instagram page, to give the image that we were a larger entity than we were.

I’m not a gun person really. I very much like the vintage and period weapons though. Some of the weapons we used were original WW1 and 2 and held a lot of history.

Replica muskets for a CH4 series I did were great. Is it weird to like the smell of cordite?

Okay. Maybe I am a gun person 🤣

Haven’t touched one for a few years though .

Cap gun
Spud gun
Gat gun
Air rifle
Shotgun
Paintball gun

Shooting isn't that much fun to me, hitting the target is fun but no more so than with darts, catapults, bows, or kicking at a goal really.
Shooting some poor sod in a painful place with a paintball gun, is more fun than shooting rats with an air rifle though.

SLR during a brief sojourn with the RAF.
AK47, 9mm & .357 pistols and combat shotgun (Franchi Spas 12) at the shooting club that used to be under the seafront near the Concord.
Air rifles and pistols galore. A mate had a garden that backed onto a field so we could plink away without worrying.
