In 2006-07 we had a total of 11 players on loan, which was positively conservative compared to 2008-09, when 13 temporary transfers were attracted to Withdean.

We also had 10 in 2009-10, and 9 in 2011-12 (first season at the Amex).

Yes If we had got it right then we wouldn't be where we are in the league. They all looked like panic buys at the time, to keep supporters happy. This definitely proved the case, you can accept one or two being "gash", but not four or five. Only two people to blame for that Bloom and Burke. I am surprised Tony didn't feel he was hung out to dry by Burke's inability to identify decent players.
