Coppell is taking his time over making a decision. All of the media think he's leaving, Dick Knight is urging Coppell to make up his mind quickly for the sake of our club.

Coppell got a great reception on Saturday and he's received support from all sides, including the full backing of players and staff.

Even if he decides to stay, has his hesitation meant the fans have lost our confidence in him, and would it be better if he goes now so we can appoint somebody else quickly?

Coppout has lost all respect as far as I'm concerned.

Not so much for going but in the way he's f***ing us around with his dithering/playacting.

I am getting to the stage of thinking, if you have to think about it for that long  .

His remark about " if we had a stadium it would not be an issue " has also got me  .

He knew all about the stadium and the timescales when he signed 3 months ago.

The person I feel most sorry for is our heroic chairman, Dick Knight, he must be mightily fed up with people messing him around. He gives loyalty and resserects people careers but where the returns, it seems a one way street.

Thank god for Dick, he is always with us and he will if necessary uncover another gem.

Dick Knight also got a big thumbs up from Micky Adams on Goals on Sunday when they asked him if Coppell is going.

Spot on. The only thing that's changed is a leach with forked tongue has wafted 1st division football under Coppell's nose.

The ground thing is a total excuse.

More than ten days now. Did SC know he was going when he had a go at the linesman at Nen Park?

Is this why the Albion are playing better? Will this last when the going gets tough? :nono:

Maybe just maybe coppell is actually undecided and is having a good think about things before he tells reading to shove their job up their arse.

As it stands SC is our manager and as such I support him 100%. If he leavesd then he is a **** of the highest order but until then I am 100% behind him.

I'm undecided. Most people don't take any notice of the press reports.

If he stays then he will still have the respect of the majority of the fans especially if we continue the way we are going.

If he goes then a lot of us will be asking why wait so long?

If you're going to go, go now (to quote an old 60's song) and stop torturing us.

To put a positive spin on the stadium thing, he could possible mean that this club (tight nit group of players, excellent back room staff etc.) coupled with a stadium would mean that there would be no question about him leaving. Everything allied to not having a stadium for the next three or so years (which let's face it is longer than the life of what, 80% of managers (?) including reduced player budget and so on, means that it's not part of the equation as far as SC is concerned.

If he stays he may get a few knockers, but in the end the majority will come around. However as he seems to be 90% gone, then sadly it looks as if he will contract VD again.

Interesting results.

I am pleased that Knight is now pressing Coppell for a decision one way or the other. Interestingly so far, only 8 of 22 voters still have full confidence in Coppell.

It's only the media speculation that says Coppell has actually gone. That and the people posting that they know someone who knows someone who knows someone etc.

All the stick that Coppell is getting from this forum is fuelled by the speculation, where people are believing that he is definitely quit. When you examine the things that Coppell has said himself, it seems very unclear as to whether he really will go.

Right now, he is still our manager. Right now, he still gets my support.

It would not surprise me if he stayed.... but I'm not making a prediction as I'm not that brave.

The question was whether he had lost the goodwill not whether he had lost our confidence?

Goodwill is more to do with respect.

I think it is commendable that he is thinking it over. It shows it is not an easy decision for him. He would obviously like to stay at the Albion otherwise he wouldnt even be thinking about it.
Give him time, the longer it goes on the more likely he is to stay.

I take your point but from my viewpoint, if I were an employer and the employee needed such a long time to decide whether to stay/join I would start to question them.

The longer it goes on the more I question that Coppell is the right man for BHAFC.

If this delaying is just to get a better deal with Reading all respect will be lost.

What I want to know is when will we know?

There are 2 sides to this. It's the same for Madejski. He strikes me as the type of Croatian Meglomaniac who doesn't like to be kept waiting.

I wonder if Coppell is testing him, or better still getting back at him for the way he treated his supposedly good mate Pardew.

And tax on fuel is about to be removed and there will be free beer for everybody at all football matches.

He is simply trying to squeeze more money out of Reading. If he wanted to stay he'd have said so by now. I haven't actually heard him say "I want to stay at Brighton but it is a good offer from Reading and I have to consider it before deciding". It's only been "It wouldn't be an issue".

Coppout's gone-time to move on.
