Anything can happen, but I'd be surprised if they announce a new manager before announcing GP has gone. Also, I think it's fairly unlikely they'd announce the two things at the same time. I would expect one announcement, and if they have someone lined up, at least a day before they announce the replacement.

Not to mention playing right into GPs hands in terms of constructive dismissal. If you are having a disciplinary hearing you have to enter it with an open mind not having already appointment the next manager!

As an aside, I think I remember reading somewhere that brightonmark1234 has a learning difficulty. If that is the case, do those of you taking the piss out of his posts not feel it's slightly distasteful?

If I was a sports organisation that didn't want bad news discussed too much, I would announce it just before a busy weekend of sport that involved a British Lions test match and England in a one-day cricket final. Then by Tuesday the bad news would have been done and dusted without time for much discussion in the media.

so today we have had the crawley friendly being moved and an aitc related article. Both news worthy i guess but since we have probably got no manager and pre season starts monday with 16 fit players including 3 goalkeeper perhaps they will forgive me if at this moment i dont care!

If there's one word you couldn't use in that scenario. It's 'class'

got the wrong letter in there somewhere
its meant to be crass not class

If nothing's been concluded, then they can't announce anything.

For that to happen we would need a sort of slimey politician type bloke in charge, one that could sort of try to manipulate the media.

No, not our style.......is it?
