The ref was a complete homer today. Gave them everything, they were kicking the shit out of Noone for the first half hour and the ref did nothing. What is it with refs in this league

Saints fan here in peace. I was in the Kingsland Stand and had a pretty good view. I said straight away that it was outside the penalty area and was surprised it was not given as a free kick after the ref consulted with the lino (surely he could see?) ... but there you go; we've had plenty go the other way as well.
I thought Tarrico was a typical South American player arguing the toss at every opportunity and not surprised when he went. Otherwise I thought you were a tough side to break down but come on guys the right side won on the day. Less histrionics and continued investment and you should be a good bet to go up next season?

I dont think many people are saying we should have won but 3-0 does not do justice...

blimey a reasonable saints fan on this board ...for us its establishing ourselves as a championship club...personally i'd be happy if we carry on building a side and everything else behind the scenes and finish 15th ...best of luck for the rest of the season apart from Jan 2nd..and make sure u thrash a certain SE London club :)

Bumped into a Saints fan back in Haywards Heath.
He said it was a COUNTRY MILE outside the area. Apparently all the Saints fans were laughing because they couldn't believe what they had just seen.

The better team overall won. But the first half I felt we were the better team, although neither side had many chances. The second you were much better and I feel regardless of the penalty you would have won, however I can't help feeling that the ref and linesman had absolute shockers and have influenced the game through their incompetence. The penalty was a joke, I'm not even that sure about the second.

It was way outside the box. Shocking decision by a very home biased ref.

 so far we've had a foot, a yard, four yards and a country mile. Any other variations?

I reckoned about a foot outside from my vantage point about a hundred yards away, impressive that the ref somehow saw it inside from ten yards or so. Piss poor decision.

Result was fair in the end though, even if we had to run around with ten men. Tanno's own stupid fault for getting sent off. Let his team mates down with that.

Alot of you are saying how bias the ref was... this wasn't the case at all!

First peno was clearly a dreadful decision and everyone knows it; it was a clear foul by Dunk when you watch replays, but it was a good yard outside the box. The second penalty was one of those that would be given 50% of the time. However, from what I counted whilst watching a stream was 3 stonewallers not given. Of course it doesn't excuse the ref's error, but we should have had a couple before that all even happened.

Overall, we were the better side, fiirst half was cagey, Saints did most of the pressing and were slightly the better side. Then in the second half we got the goal and once we had the momentum, there was only one winner. I don't think the red was as much of a game changer as you're suggesting; you were no threat before and I couldn't see us surrendering that lead.

Anyway, nice to get one over you, but I do hope you pick up an get in the playoff mix. You have a number of decent players (CMS, Bridcutt, Noone mainly) and once you start picking up the points again I can see you putting a little run together.

I watched the game via a (decent) stream, and it was way outside, a bloody disgraceful decision.

If stains had a couple of penos awarded earlier, I wouldn't have moaned ( too much ).

However, in the cold light of day, we should all stop this blaming the ref stuff, because I thought we were shocking today as a team, and, dare I say it, the tactics.

Stains were by far the better side and deserved to win.

We can all look at individual players and snipe, but the bigger picture is that the team played badly again.

Last season stains had better players than us, but we were by far the better team.

Something isn't right at the moment obviously, but it's certainly not the refereeing.

I don't think you're far off and being too negative. I think we were a Championship team last year, just got going too slowly, and built on that. BHA were one of the tougher teams we have played this season. I enjoyed the game because it was tight and edgy up to the second goal. When you went down to ten men (your own fault btw), it was clearly game over. You have a good set up and I might put a few quid down on you going up next year,

The only person going to be more embarrased than the referee by his behaviour this afternoon, was the bloke two seats to my right. Totaly pissed shouting rasist abuse. You dont get any more idiotic than that. The ref by comparrison along way back in second place.
