Has anyone read Freakonomics?

I have just finished reading Freakonomics - which is an excellent book. One of the best I have read in ages.

Comes up with some interesting theories such as the legalisation of abortion in America as the main reason behind a subsequent dramatic drop in crime rates years later.

Sounds slightly controversial but all makes sense, using statistics and economic theory etc to prove things.

Anyone else read it?

Yup, good dissection of cause and effect, a bit glib at times, but one in the eye for the right wingers!

Yes, presents some interesting perspectives, like the connection between unwanted pregnancies and crime.

Agreed. Also, physics for future presidents is a good read in a similar vein.
