Latest message from the Lewes Arms campaign:-

Dear Friends:
Things are now moving thick and fast. We have delivered the petition. The negotiations are now in the hands of Norman Baker who is speaking to all parties. Further discussions will continue during the course of the week in order to resolve this dispute. In the meantime, and to confirm, Harveys will continue to be available in the pub for at least another week - so the planned weekend 'wake' will not now be happening.

Thanks to all for your continued energy and support which has been the making of the campaign. Thursday night's meeting
has triggered a lively debate over the question of a boycott and about other aspects of how the campaign might proceed.
We await the coming week with interest and will let you know further news as soon as it reaches us.

Whatever the outcome, we have stood up to Greene King and have caused them a great deal of discomfort.
We have shown others what one determined local can achieve.

best
john
