Harty Offered Contract

Juan Albion

Chicken Sniffer 3rd Class
If he could take the ball, by whatever means to the goal line and pull it back away from the goalkeeper I would say yes he is an asset but how often does he do that, not very often.

So he could have a use when we get one of those kicky things from by the cute little flag on a stick?

yes, if its not true. since Hart is not on the trip to Ireland that would seem to be the case, wouldnt it?

Adams will use the game to familiarise himself with players who have not been first team regulars.

He said: "We are taking a squad of 22, which will include some of the younger players that haven't played a great deal.

"People like Jonny Dixon, Lofty (Doug Loft) and Tommy Fraser haven't had many starting opportunities. I will probably play those type of players to start with."

Loft has travelled, despite a slight foot injury which will limit his training. Adam El-Abd has stayed behind, as his girlfriend is expecting their first child The only other absentee is Adam Hinshelwood, who is part way through a three-month rehabilitation programme following further major knee surgery.

Always gives 110%, think I'd keep him for another year. He can play anywhere on the park too.

Not really. We have better cover all over the pitch. Waste of wages IMO. He gives 110% and an Albion Legend but not good enough anymore sadly.

IF we can afford to pay OGH's wages for a year and it not prevent us bringing in other players than I think it would be worth offering him another year. He does add verastility and if we actually have a decent cup run for the first time in however many years then we will need extra numbers.

I agree that he wouldn't be a first choice in any position anymore. But his commitment can't be faulted, and I reckon he'd offer good cover, even if its at right back.

Hart at right-back is an accident waiting to happen. Sure he's enthusiastic, but he can't tackle for toffee and would be a liablity. I honestly cannot see a role for him in the team any more, even as back-up.

Maybe a month to month contract arrangement, just to see what (if anything) he still has to offer. That would get the best out of him, making him earn his next month's keep. Assuming he isn't asking too much in his pay cheque.

waste of wages IMO he's past his best ages ago, bring someone new in or use youth players if the squad gets stretched.

Hardly fair on him though, he's got a mortgage and bills to pay like anyone else. He should be looking to get himself fixed up somewhere for the next couple of years at least, not being strung along on a month-to-month with us. He's better than that.

I wish him all the luck in the world but i can't see him wearing an albion shirt again, he'd still be a good league two or b.s.prem signing.

I guarantee you he'll be playing in a Brighton & Hove Albion shirt before the month is out.
