I wonder if Ken Brown will be asking for our fans to be recompensed for admission money?

No, course he won't! Fans are just mugs who shell out and reap the consequences.

Why on earth should we be recompensed. I paid to watch a football match, I saw one. End of story.

Hartlepool have launched an immediate appeal according to Sky Sports 'sources'.

I hope they get deducted an extra 2 points for a frivolous appeal then.

Then they're bloody STOOPID if they have.
They've got 28 days to appeal. Why not see how the season pans out on the final day THEN appeal if it goes tits up for them ? Rather than risk it being thrown out as being frivolous, and incurring a FURTHER points deduction if not this season than next ?

Bellends.

It's still a sham.

They have lost the points that they would have got from the win. Say they had lost the game to us... What would their punishment have been? ... nothing!

That's a joke. there should be a punishment for fielding the player as well as the points being given to the opponents automatically

For that reason, I'm kinda hoping they do appeal!

Would be bloody funny if the appeal does for them, though I presume the frivolous appeal rule doesn't in fact apply as it does to player bans.

I'd have thought if they lose the appeal the FA would activate all or part of the suspended fine. They have to be seen to do something to prevent stupid appeals.

Well, on what grounds can they possibly appeal ? What are they going to bring to the table this time round that wasn't mentioned before ? Has some "new evidence" emerged that puts a different slant on things ?

Its not been confirmed yet so I'm inclined to think they will NOT be appealing, because the sheer stupidity if they do appeal immediately (or even at all) almost defies credible belief.

Perhaps the FA have seen the DVD of the game and realised that we did nothing to deserve the points?

Glad the FL have finally put their cigars & brandy glasses down for long enough to make a decision. Still don't understand why we weren't awarded the points - bearing in mind they've effectively been found guilty of gaining a victory via an obvious contravention of league rules. :glare:

Quite. That's why I put the sources in inverted commas. For all I (and Sky for that matter) know, the source is 'man in pub who once met the groundsman'.

I too would LOVE to see the grounds for appeal.

unfortunately I think it is nailed-on for Exeter to go down but I would absolutely love it if 'Pools were relegated - amateursville! :US:

Fair comment, if we were asking for a refund it should be to the Albion for failing to get the team to turn up for 90 minutes.

Over to Dave then for another fatuous question on ATC :wrong:

I thought it was perfectly fair.....if they cheated then you should get recompense....just cos we were shite that day is neither here nor there.

So with the suspended fine they have effectively been given nothing and got away with iot scot free . What a gutless decision by the Football League and FA.

As I have said many times there is no provision in the rules for the points to have been given to us. If it had been a cup game we would have just been allowed to proceed to the next round.

This is exactly the point that puzzles me......if we had won the game would Hartlepool now be on 46 points? No...I bet they would only have received a fine.

I don't beleive we should have any claim to the points, but this decision means they are no worse off than if we had won the game, although they would argue this does make them worse off.

The league should have a rule set in stone so everyone knows the consequence, i.e loss of points only, loss of points plus an additional points penalty.....or jack shit. At least nobody could complain
