He only started his break a few days ago after United were knocked out of the CL.

According to the BBC:

The police say a file has been opened which includes accusations of "violence against officials, disobedience, bodily harm, insult and attempted bribery of an official".

It is not known specifically what Maguire has been accused of.

I like the addition of the attempted bribery of an official to the previous known alleged offences - really classy.
Tbf in these type of countries this approach usually works!! [emoji38]

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
That was a LONG time ago.

I've been to 23 Greek Islands and Mykonos is by far my least favourite.
This.

Although I would have to count how many I've been to. I tend to prefer the difficult to get to ones, mostly to avoid the Brits.

If I had to pick half a dozen smaller ones to go to I'd say:

Milos
Sifnos
Folegandros
Naxos
Serifos
Tinos

This matches my three general rules, go to an island that:

1. Doesn't have an airport (Syros excluded)
2. Doesn't have a large population (Crete excluded)
3. Is in the Cyclades (Alonnisos excluded)

I suppose you need to know what a Greek Urn is before you stump up.

Pretty sure ManU will have some hotshot local lawyer in situ ready to smooth the waters by whatever means. It's called 'Doing A Grealish' I believe

Only fly in that ointment is: what incentive have the Greeks for doing us (I mean any Brits) a favour?

If I were them I'd demand a straight swap for the Elgin Marbles.

All this collaborating with the Authorities makes me laugh. Sure we used to call that "Helping the Police with their inquiries"

Free man 'for now' according to his lawyer after coming out of court. Bailed presumably then, lawyer didn't look that happy

Hope they throw the book at him, if a normal English bloke on holiday *allegedly* smacked a police officer, they’d be rotting in a Greek prison for a few weeks at least.

Could open the door nicely for dunky now if he’s guilty I can’t see him being picked for England

It really should now..

I don’t see who else can be ahead of Dunk at this point?

Gomez maybe.
Mings shouldn’t be, but wouldn’t be surprised
Ben White and Webster could be interesting calls...

Imagine what it's like being a high profile footballer and hanging out in bars with pissed up supporters of other teams taking pictures and goading you when you're with your family. I know these players are young and want to have a good night out, but it's really not worth the hassle. They've got the money to fly private jet to a private island if they want!
