when dan played wide on the left at plymouth and colchester he looked nervous and in the plymouth game espcally he kept putting the ball out for a throw but he's had a bit of 1st team experience now and would probably feel more confident

anyway were has everyone got this thing about him playing out wide it actully says that he'll be playing in the centre of midfield for a couple of frendlies cos we've got competitors in there in chippy and charlie but we need a bit more quality

looks to me like mm is trying to sort out our central mid problems by wat he's already got.

1 by saying harding will be given a run there
2 by saying dave lee will be playing there and there only
3 guess he's got plans for piercy to provide a bit of quality in there
4 by giving jolly rodger time to get fit a fight for a place

It may also be that McGhee will look at playing 3 centre backs during pre-season and young Dan will be asked to perform a wingback role. Could explain why we are also chasing another centre back, bearing in mind this is one of the few positions where we do have some cover at present.

MM did mention that possibility when we were linked with Caldwell? last week.

everyone's been screaming out for more quality in the middle all summer

i would play a 5 3 2 like last time in div 1 with carpenter,reid,piercy or if he's fit maybe rodger instead of 1 of the 1st 3
