A idiot in my eyes. One more thing to add , in all my years of following palace that was the most toxic atmospheres I’ve ever encountered. We couldn’t get a drink and we’re ordered by the boys in blue to go straight to the ground as there’d been a incident. The walk to the ground was unpleasant to say the least with every comment cantona related.
I don’t expect any of you to give a damn but that’s what happened.

Hi Dougie, I think we are entitled to rejoice in seeing a Palace moron get his kung-fu comeuppance as he is the sort of bloke we have had to take a lot of abuse from over the years.
However, the death of that other Palace fan sickens me and many of us probably think "there but for the grace of God go I". I have honestly never known a Brighton fan who wasn't disgusted by it.

A day early isn't it?

Sent from my SM-A226B using Tapatalk

Gets earlier every year. All part of the increasing commercialisation of the event IMHO.

Excellent interview with Cantona on the iPlayer documentary about the premier league. He clearly enjoyed the event as much as we did/do. Perhaps we need a Cantona statue in Churchill Square with the great man invited to the grand unveiling ? By the way I wonder if we will get more tedious input from Palace fans in this year’s celebratory thread bounce.

I still dont see why we celebrate a player who never played for us doing a kung fu kick into the crowd. There are many amongst us that hurl abuse at opposition players, and how would we react if the player jumped in the crowd and kicked off? Come on guys we are better than that arent we?

Are you for real mate? Player smacks one of our bitter rival's racist gob shite supporters and you think we should not revel in that? It was an epoch football moment globally and showed racists everywhere but particularly one tin pot club's they won't be tolerated...... Nothing to see here then?!?!?!?:facepalm:

Cantona is nothing other than a thug. A Joey Barton violent type who fancies himself as a philosopher. His luckiest day ever came when the person he randomly lashed out at happened to be a thug too. It could just as easily been anyone else. He got the red mist and could have been a Granny he attacked. He had no idea. If the police has done their job he would have been handcuffed on the spot and taken to the station.

Anyone that believes he even heard, let alone understood what was being shouted from the stands is deluded.

The PR machine at Man United went into overdrive about racism in order to save his career which whipped up their fans into a frenzy and ended with them attacking the Palace fans later on and causing the death of a father of four. This is not to be celebrated.
