Cheers everyone! Tuesday night was a fantastic early birthday present, wonderful! The news from Wrexham (which I've just heard) is brilliant for all true fans and proves once again just what we can achieve through determined and persistent campaigning against the odds. The postman has been quite kind thought nothing gets opened till Robina gets back from work. The really big pressie looks as though it's staying in its Seagulls wrapping paper today though, sadly. I'm 99% sure - no, make that 99.9% - that I know what it is, but that fat bastard Prescott won't let me open it yet.....!!!!!!!

Just a shame that Murdoch has wrecked my birthday weekend. Much beer will nevertheless be consumed at Wakefield Labour Club tomorrow night - despite the lack of a fixture beforehand (BOLLOCKS!)

My children's favourite song ever is "Roll up for the Donkey Derby". They dance in a enthusiastic but demented way to it, and sing along. They demand more songs like that.

Happy Birthday, and thank you for the music!

My mad friend Sir Henry Lawrence (yes, descended from that one) who has just returned from a juggling convention in Tirana (he can't juggle, I must say I have no idea why anyone would want to be able to, but he can't) has sent me perhaps the most bizarre birthday present I have ever received: the Albanian equivalent of 'Sport First'. For Albanian football afficianadoes I can inform you that Elbasan are top of the league.
