Tory wanker and a massively overrated actor :tosser:
Well you’re not going to be invited to his birthday party. As for his acting ability he has had some great roles - Get Carter, The Italian Job and Muppets Christmas Carol among my faves, and also some absolute stinkers - Jaws 3, The Shadow Run and many more.

Caine has often admitted that he takes on appalling parts in terrible films because it pays his wages regardless of its artistic value - at least he’s honest on that one.

I’m not sure that calling him a Tory wanker is relevant on this thread, you are probably insulting 50% of the UK population - that’s a hell of a lot of self abusers.

Not really watched his films although he was good in Little Voice.

Off the top of my head I enjoyed the Harry Palmer films, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Zulu (I must be a racist), Educating Rita, The Italian Job and The Man Who Would be King.

He also made some crap films but don’t all actors?

Had no idea he was that old.

Good actor. Why bring politics into this? Can’t we just enjoy something for once?
Because he brings politics into it. Therefore he is opening himself up to people forming negative (or positive) opinions of him.

Good actor. I like him in some of the films he appears in. I never knew anything about his politics and don’t care. Wouldn’t care if he was a dyed in the wool socialist. I just the art not the artist.

Fair enough! I wasn’t saying it was compulsory to form positive or negative opinions about him, just that people will if he expresses an opinion…… just as they have done recently over Gary Lineker.

Battle of Britain
Get Carter
The Eagle Has Landed
Batman Begins & The Dark Knight
Kingsman

I really like him.

Plus he chased the money in a load of poor movies, I’m not bothered by that.

Happy birthday MC.

He started his acting career at the Capital Theatre Horsham. It was knocked down years ago, roughly where Boots is.

Not a lot people know that
