I dont get this thread if you are not fortunate enough to be born

I'm a Shrewsbury fan. However...

My father, grandfather and great grandfather were Brighton fans.

I go to several Brighton games a season with my old man.

I saw my first Brighton game in the mid 70s. I've seen Peter Ward, Garry Nelson, Bobby Zamora and Leon Knight many times.

I have a photo of my grandad at the first ever Albion league game in (1920?).

My Great Grandad once moved his daughter's wedding (without telling her) so as not to miss a home game.

My grandfather was in the Royal Sussex regiment in WW1 and fought his way across Egypt, Belgium and France with most of the male population of Brighton.

My family lived almost opposite the Goldstone for 40 years.

I've done my MP postcard, signed the petition and emailed Prescott.

Anyone going to say I shouldn't be here??

As a Huddersfiled fan on here I salute you. You must be very proud of your heritage.

Staly - methinks you're being too sensitive. You're very welcome here indeed - all football fans are. Christ, we even allow Palarse fans on as long as they can take/understand the abuse (they're used to it).

Are Shrewsbury going up via the play-offs do you reckon?

We don't all come from Brighton or Hove HB&B.

I know- do you ever have one of those days where everything you say comes across as being arsey, even though it's not meant to be?

We have a good chance in the playoffs, due to the fact that we have the best team in the Conference. But only on paper, as they're also the laziest and least bothered. If they play well we'll win- they usually get their fingers out for televised games so we'll see...
