Hands up if you left early again and missed the goal.

i learned not to leave early when sidwell scored 2 v notts county.

never again i pledged.

but i always spend last 5 minutes at front - smell the grass, give encouragement.

today...left seat and as walking toward corner flag 300 or so of us got "back to your gay bar, back...." chant. Then we scored and they shut right up.

I never leave early but I did arrive 5 minutes or so late once at The Goldstone and as I went through the turnstiles Bristol Rovers scored and I groaned ' behind already' to which the gateman said 'that is the third we are 3 - 0 down. Final score lost 3 - 0.

I always stay to the bitter end no matter what the score is. I won't pretend, however, that I'm not tempted to leave early on occasions. Tuesday night was a case in point.

That's worse than mine. I used to work in Croydon, live in Ashford. I went to an evening LDV game against Bournemouth at the Goldstone. Having left work at 4, I missed the first goal but heard it in the car on the radio, dropped off my passengers and missed the equaliser while I parked the car! I then missed a third bang on the stroke of half-time queuing for coffee! It finshed 3-2 so I did see 2 goals.

I only remember leaving early twice, once losing 3-0 at home to Southend, once AWAY at Stockport - what was I thinking? If there's only one goal in it, I have only 2 words to say - Eric Potts.

I was struggling to watch the last game of the season vs Swindon a couple of years ago from outside the ground as I couldn't get a ticket.

At the end of the game we were to be given the trophy for being champions. So you can imagine what I thought of the stream of people leaving early & I couldn't get in to join the celebrations!
