strange there has been no talk of a new one what so ever
to be fair to hammond if i was him i wouldn't sign one,not when in 3 months time i could talk to any team to see what they are offering

on his current form then i doubt there will be many interested

Also there is speculation that in less than 3 months we could have new investors who may wish to bring in a new manager etc.

He would have to wait 6 months (until there is 3 months left on his contract) but apart from that it's a good point.

Yeah. A player can only talk to other clubs from the same country that he currently plays in during the last 3 months of his contract. However, he can talk to clubs abroad at any point during the last 6 months. So when Real Madrid come in for him in January he will be allowed to discuss terms with them.

i think there would be plenty of intrest in a goalscoring midfielder
which he is 11/12? goals from midfield last season
you have only got to look at the article by claridge to see how football people view him
many on here didnt think much of harding but he didn't do to bad when out of contract (suppose bosman is wrong word given the age rule)
think a lot of it is people not valuing and appreciating the jobs players do

There is a clause that the Football League and Premiership put in place at the start of last season saying that you can only talk to domestic players in the last three months of the season (after the last weekend in May is I think how they define it). I did actually bother to look it up in the FL rule book about a year ago, but I don't have the time now, so you'll just have to trust me

Could be a blessing in disguise. Hasn't been on form for most of this season and if he wasn't captain would have been dropped a while back. If we could spend his wages on O'Callaghan instead I would be far happier.
Not sure I agree, just because he hasnt been great this season is no reason to ditch him

O'Callaghan offers more all round in my opinion and is a player more likley to improve in future.
