Ok.

We sell Currie who is arguably the best player we have had this season.
Reminds me of 91 when the then board sold John Byrne and Mike Small as they "had no choice". We all know what that eventually led to.
I don't trust this board 1 little bit at the moment due to the fact that there seems to be a lot of behind the scenes goings on.
Maybe if DK came clean and let us all know what was really going on then maybe me and others would have a bit more time for him.

As for falmer. Maybe the fiasco bit was a bit harsh.
I can't see us competing in this division when all the money we get just seems to disappear. It needs to be spent on the playing staff.I appreciate that solicitors etc all need paying but we need players to play in a new ground if and when we get it.
I,personally don't think the board have another site in mind if we don't get Falmer. I think a few too many people on here have been listening to Ian Hart too much when he says he is sure there is 1. I don't think so.
Maybe I'm wrong and there is another site but nobody will know until the time comes when it needs to be revealed

Intelligent enough for you Lokki?

That is your opinion gerbil, and there's a significant minority who'll agree with you.

The majority here though do have trust in the board to be both prudent (so we don't disappear into administration before we get a stadium) and at the same time keep the team at the higest level possible given the circumstances.

Yes, I think that there's a good chance we'll go down this season and yes Currie may be the difference between staying up and going down. But maybe someone will come on loan, or a youth player will "get it" and start playing very well, and we might survive.

I don't see how we could have turned down £250k for Currie - maybe the lesson was learned when we DIDN'T sell Bobby for loads more money than we eventually got to give us the chance to stay up.

It's a hard balancing act and right now I'm not as downhearted as you are that Currie has gone. My natural optimism (or stupidity in your book perhaps) means that I think everything will be ok. That the team spirit, belief and maybe some good luck will see us not get relegated, which would be against all the odds frankly.

As ever then, what this all really boils down to is TRUST that the Albion board are playing it straight with the fans when it comes down to money, and FAITH that they have pursued the right options on our behalf to give us the best chance of getting this stadium.

You allure to "a lot of behind the scenes goings on" as to why you don't trust them one little bit. Honestly, I havn't got a clue what you are referring to on that - maybe you know something that I don't.

Bottom line is, I trust them, you don't. We'll have to agree to disagree.

By which you can only mean "if he told us what we want to hear" - if you don't trust him anyway, why would you believe a different version of events?

I'm still none the wiser on your actual objections after reading 6 pages of your and your cronies' whining; what do you actually think the board should be doing differently?

There are some very good points put across but the reality is the offer for Currie is really to good to be true in the current circumstances.

Lower league clubs rarely get options to sell and this probably will keep us afloat for the season. It may possibly finance some loan players however all the time we remain in reasonable form not in the bottom three I suspect the club will not bother.

Unless anyone is totally unreal the expectation this season is to stay in the Championship next year - nothing more nothing less.

This has cost them a lot of money PERSONALLY and has has very strong opposition from a bunch of people of don't seem to know their arses from their elbows but have somehow managed to push the club to the brink with their BOLLOCKS arguments about BATS which somehow fooled the Planning Inspector into ruling that Falmer is the not the best site for a football ground.

You are complete, absolute muppet. You go on as if they are not going to gain if Falmer gets the go ahead. They will be rolling in it where as all our donations will get no return. PERSONALLY i think they are pissin temselves in the delight that they have come up trumps this week. They couldn't give a f*** that a great proportion of my disposaable has gone to help bail them out. I won't even get a reasonably priced season ticket at Falmer for my troubles. Loyalty is a two way thing. When Falmer happens lets see what DK and MP give us back eh?
