i'm not sure mclaren can win really, we should've won this group really, croatia are decent, but nothing special, if we qualify it'll be "well yeah, great, we should've qualified anyway", if we don't then he'll be CRUCIFIED by the press

all i can say is, good luck LADS

I have been behind McLaren all along, and if the rest of the nation had I have no doubt we would have qualified by now, the negativity surrounding him and the team only hinders them. However Wednesday gives us the opportunity to qualify and also top the group and I really don't think you can argue with that if/when it happens.

was a tough group, there are only a few real easy teams in international football nowadays, your san marino's andorra luxemborg etc... if we go through were through and thats that start a clean tournament with fans behind us hopefully

As I have said elsewhere: only struggling teams use the 'no easy games' arguement. If you have designs on winning a tournament then you should be dispatching lower ranked teams with relative efficiency. Get out there, get the job done and go home with minimal fuss....it is what all great teams do. Sadly England are not great.

 You must be joking, I supposed you would have rather been in Scotlands group with France, Italy and the Ukraine, this was a piss easy group but we are crap.

no Scotlands was awful group

but Macedonia are not complete mugs then you have 4 capable teams battling it out and all view England as their cup final

If Scotland hadn't been so bad in recent previous attempts to qualify for major tournaments, they would have had a better seeding and not such a difficult group.

Maybe we'll do a Denmark and come off the beach to win Euro 2008 after one of the teams in the tournament gets thrown out because of war or something.

Dublin . Ireland
Lads what england need now is a manager that will instill National pride in the squad.
90 % of englands players are just bothered about thier pay packets and not wearing a English shirt.
Look at the Irish team we have shite players but we have Pride and give it all for the full game.
What has happened to the BULL DOG SPIRIT ??????? it went when players were started to get 100,000 pound a week wages.
