I was born in Crawley...
...The only people I personally know that go to games regularly that are Crawley residents, 2 Spurs fans, 2 Fulham fans 1 Millwall, a few Brighton (one or two post here), and 1 West Ham.

No Crawley fans?

They only go when there fav Prem team is not in action like Reading, and of all Crawley people I have asked what team they support only 3 have ever said stright away they support JUST Crawley, most say Chelski, Gooners, etc. Though there is a few of us Seagulls in Crawley.

Its really not though is it?

I'm not a massive fan of the Premiership but the Champions League is regularly enthralling. Surely the sheer quality of football on show would make you want to watch that ahead of a Conference game.

And yes, I am an Albion fan.

Yeah, OK I might have exaggerated that point. Clearly the conference is no match for the champions league in terms of quality. But I just love football at all levels. I cant wait for my kids to start playing, I love playing 5 a side, I love watching my local non-league side, I love having informed discussions with fans who follow teams at all sorts of levels, L love reading about football, I love watching the World Cup, I love the Albion.

The point is most of the Man U, Chelsea fans that I come across just seems to love Man U and Chelsea. Thats up to them, but I think they're missing out on the essence of the game.

Good post. I agree with most of your original post anyway, and your point about Man Utd and Chelsea fans missing the point of being a football fan is spot on (apart from the genuine die-hard ones). I love watching all types of football too, but I am much more passionate about playing the game than watching it. Even just kickabouts.

If most Premiership fans had their head anymore up their arse they would be constipated.
THERE IS A WHOLE WORLD OF FOOTBALL THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT!
I can't see Albion everyweek because of location, cost etc so I go and watch my local non-league side.:drink:
