I thought Gus has said they are playing their first team?

The game will be the first time Chelsea show their Champions League trophy in the UK.. They are parading it before the match... I would be surprised if it is paraded by their reserves...

Yeh that's what I'm saying. They're playing the majority of their first team. Not sure why people think it's the reserves.

This is the only friendly they are playing in this country. They have officially been allocated 4,000 seats in WSU and I don't think these fans will be coming down in those numbers to watch a reserve side! I spoke to Paul Barber on the day this fixture was announced and he was adamant they will bring their proper first team down for this match. I really don't understand why so many people are so cynical about this fixture. I can't wait for Saturday...and the following Tuesday as well.

Don't overlook the fact that we have 3000+ 1901 ticket holders who will be at the Chelsea as their tickets are 'free', but will only be at the Reading game if they CHOOSE to pay on top of their 1901 subscription.

By the seaside in West Somerset
away on Saturday and not due back until Wednesday or Thursday but if I can get back early might well do so and pick up tickets at the ground. Won't know until Monday night at best though :)

After noting that no extra rail services are being provided for Kuipers game next week I enquired the time that the Special bus services commenced, amazed to be told there were none, that means we have to use the University bus, imagine the queues particularly after the game, this is going to keep the attendance down, great shame I was thinking of taking one of the package deals in the 1901 area.

I'll be at both but looking at the amount of tickets around me still left in the North Stand can't see them being shifted. This as well as the transport home afterwards! Be a shame for the big man if this does not sell out....But like some have said prior 6k for a friendly will be a good number.

Although there are no "Football Special" buses B&H Buses might put on additional services (don't forget going to The Amex on the number 25 they are at five minute intervals until 8pm and afterwards for the return trip they are every 10 minutes - plus a bendybus carries roughly twice the number of a double decker.)
