My only question would be Zamora tends to create the chances for others but we don't have anybody that can convert them at the moment

What a wind-up. He's on 35K max.

It's certainly more than the £45k Fulham were confirmed as paying him per week. Initially Zamora wanted a widely reported £90k to go to QPR. It probably settled at about £50k.

Anyway. What is blatantly obvious is that we don't have he funds for a superstar striker or he'd be here already. If we don't have enough money then we will have to make do with average for this level. Better that than be Pompey mkii.

gus, tell tony to buy zamora if he wants us to get promotion.sounds like if we had bobby in the side today we would of had 3 points too :albion2:

Yes, because Bobby is the answer to all our problems, the Championship will be a cakewalk, and we'll win the league for certain......

Or not.

I'm just hoping we get a striker - preferably one who is confident enough to put one in the back of the net once in a while (but i'm not that fussy right at this moment), I'd take Peter Ward rocking up at the Amex with his boots if it meant we have someone a bit more predatorial in front of goal.

Who says Gus has told Tony he wants BZ where has that come from. Warren Aspinall said that he has seen Gus shopping list but wouldn't enlarge but did say for various reasons we haven't got the players he wants and it is up to the club to go and get those players.

Why Zamora? The two best strikers i have ever seen play for our club were both relatively unknown when they arrived at Brighton and went on to be(that over used word)Legends. would you rather have an ex Albion striker,or a young Zamora or Peter Ward neither of whom had been heard of when we got them. The only strikers who i can remember coming back were Peter Ward and Budgie Burne neither of which really worked out second time round. I have just remembered Mike Small as well, another unknown who turned out to be pretty good for us.

Sorry misread the OP thought it said Gus had told TB to get BZ.
