Maybe losing at Hartlepool and drawing Saturday, wasn't such a bad thing after all. I'd be feeling ever so slightly more uncomfortable about it all, if we were nine or ten points clear, I think.

This little dip in form is a big reminder to everyone in football, that whilst Gus looks incredibly impressive so far, he has got no experience. No-one [least of all, us] knows how he is going to respond to set-backs. In some respects its easy being a manager when everything is going brilliantly. When it all goes a bit wrong, we'll all see just what he's got.

Personally I have ABSOLUTE faith in the guy, and a lot of Albion fans are the same. The rest of football, will be watching to see how he copes. Not going to a big job [yet].

I said last week when talking about Gus replacing Wilkins - even thoguh Chelsea are reining back on their spending, who on earth in their right mind would think they would go for a manager other than one who is in the top 5 or 6 in the world - and Gus is not up there yet. There are more likely to get Mourinho back.

disappointing rumour from the OP. maybe keeping an eye for the future. but the papers are full of Ancelotti possibly leaving Chelsea very soon, so not sure why this would be "doing the rounds". are Chelsea remotely likly to risk everything on an untested manager from the 3rd teir?

If Ancelotti is being considered for the boot after 3 defeats do you really think any manager in their right mind would want the job for anything but money? Chelsea specialise in treating their managers and assistant managers like shit. I seriously doubt Gus would be interested in that job at the moment. Anyway Gus needs to prove he can put wheels back on a faltering division 3 promotion push before he can be considered a contender for any big job imo

All we need now is Roman Abramovich to make a statement that he and the Chelsea Board have full confidence in Ancelotti
