In the run up to Christmas, Gus seemed to be making the odd, headstrong decision, but today he showed some great management. Firstly he played a good starting 11 with balance and plenty of creativity and secondly he was strong in his choice of subs, showing an intention to be attacking - 2 strikers, one midfielder and one defender in the four outfield subs. To pick Adgestein over Hall must have been a hard choice in light of the latter's recent showings, however it was a great call. Then to opt to bring on TA instead of WH at the death, again highlighted his confidence in his own decision making ability and how well he can read the game.
Not sure he'll get MotM, and don't really care either, but I am sooo pleased that he's our manager and I'm genuinely excited about 2012 in terms of our continued development with him running the show.
