The following is quoted verbatim from another clubs most popular unofficial website messageboard.

Well was I p155ed off or what when I found where seat number 93 was? The last bleedin' seat before the no-go area. Spent the whole game sandwiched between burbs manfully asking each other to come and have a go while being safely coccooned behind a bank of 20 or so normal supporters (people who had come to watch the game). Pelted with bottles and coins after each goal.

Sadly there is a whole new generation of these idiots coming up. There are one or two who get a reputation for being hard (from where I don't know) and the rest blindly follow. Ideally they should eject them all, lock them in a room and allow them to kill each other.

Fortunately was queueing up for a soggy pie when it all kicked off at HT. Saw the lad with the cut head and a terrified little lad being led away. Glad I didn't take my kids.

Where do you think this is and who were the oppo ?

Frankly, I was very surprised!

a bit more from the same site...

Anyone else a victim of these wazzocks - My dad's car back nearside passenger window was smashed..but nothing taken..just mindless idiots....another car pulled up and the guy said he worked for Radio 5 Live...one of his windows was damaged as well. Why don't these pillocks do us all a favour and get lost!

As for the 'oh i am so hard and clever teenie boppers'..there is nothing big and clever or tough in the throwing of glass bottles at each other..a seat narrowly missed a kid sat next to me as well...a bottle missed me by inches!

and another...

the people causing trouble last night (or organising it) were the usual faces that always appear at away games like this - i've never seen them at home, so why the police can't control them is beyond me. they know who they are for godsake!!

the policing was awful at half time - you had a line of police nicely protecting a quiet area to the back of the concourse - why!??!?!?!? they should have been near the temporary fence to start with, because when they "moved in" it kicked off.

apart from the bloke with blood pouring down his head i also saw a very young lad (no more than ten i'd say) who had been whacked on the shoulder by a truncheon. him and his dad were very upset and it makes you wonder if the police just lash out at anyone near them.

I only brought this up because it was a surprise to me, especially as it relates to such a 'happy, family club'!

I think there is a lot of this sort of violence that is simply covered up by the clubs, the FA and police - and frankly - it stinks!

I've heard that one gets quite nasty.

But like us and Palace I guess. People go on about North London derbies and Manchester derbies and North East derbies. The only difference is that these are played in front of bigger crowds and more people get involved.

Luton v Watford last season is case in point. Local derbies, wherever they are, are pretty intense affairs and when you get the louts in there too they can turn very nasty.

Newbury, Berkshire.
At the Mad last year there were a whole load of mouthy burberry dressed kids ( aged about 15 - 17 I'd guess ) sat in the East Stand getting all uptight when we went ahead.

Southcote is Reading's equivalent of Whitehawk and it wouldn't surprise me if they were from there.

With the Kassam being so close to Blackbird Ley's estate ( notorious for it's riots and joyriders ) it's no surprise the idiots were out in force for a fracas.

Why should it surprise anyone?

Local derby, fans don't get along

Selhurst last year, we took 1000s but who could not argue that there were 100s of BHA lads (age between 18 and 40) that we don't normally see either at Withdean or away and would have been up for a scrap if the policing wasn't so organised/tight/ott/un-neccessary* (*delete as applicable!)
