IAs long as people stay in skate parks I guess it's OK - but I'd rather people didn't do it on the pavement, just as with cycling.

Couldn't really care less how someone chooses to get around, that said, as soon as it starts impacting pedestrians then they instantly become tossers. Much like cyclists on pavements (with the obvious exception of any pre-teens, everyone has to learn).

Each to their own but there is no getting away from it they look ridiculous, reminds me of Tom Hanks in "Big" especially a grown man on a BMX! Probably a Brighton thing I suppose but a lot of people in the place do try way way too hard to be cool, go to LA or SF if you want to see genuine cool dudes (even older blokes)

Not sure how a sense of humour comes into it. You said people on skateboards look like idiots. I don't have a skateboard btw.
