How do you replace the irreplaceable? Well you have to evolve, which I think we have. We missed his experience and guile a number of times this season, but at the same time a few others are starting to take more responsibility and expand their game.

Well said, there were definitely some big moments where his experience and tenacious ways could have steadied the ship but nonetheless an encouraging end to the season and hopefully won't lose too many more treasures! UTA

It would've been great to have him around in a similar role to (from the looks of it) Milner this season, passing on his wealth of knowledge to the young guns who are looking to emulate his success. But that would mean that he would've been a) injured and b) deprived a move to his boyhood club. Neither of which would I wish upon my favourite Albion player of all time.

Like Mitoma, he's irreplaceable.

But we've managed to get his goals and assists back, by improving the overall depth of cover in midfield/attacking positions.
