Where Eagles Dare.

Still don't really understand the double/treble/quadruple agent plot despite having seen it about 15 times - but all good knockabout stuff.

I thought 'The Eagle has landed' was shit when you consider the cast & dodgy studio sets.

I like 'The Great Escape' - True story - perfect Boxing Day veg out movie.

Das Boot - fantastic film. I ended up hating the Brits by the end

should it not be " enemy at the gates"
war film with jude law?

To be fair, 'Behind Enemy Gates' would be quite a good title for a war film.

A gripping tale of conflict, battle and betrayal, set in the village of Camembert-sur-Marne in northern France and starring James Mason as Colonel 'Hannibal' Smith, Antoine de Caunes as Renee of the Resistance and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Uberleutnant vin Richthofen.

confuses the hell out of me every time i see it, but there's lots of big explosions to take my mind off how stupid i am.

Not a documentary or a film but the last episode of Blackadder goes Forth is bloody excellent. Somes up in about 5 seconds the humanity of the whole affair.

Big shout to Band of Brothers and Stalingrad too.

My Uncle Mike (still alive aged 83) was in the 1968 (?) film Battle of Britain, flying one of the Spitfires ... still have some old Super 8 footage of him.

He actually flew Lysanders into Northern France during the real war!
