Has there been a thread on here yet to say what a wanker Barrett is and how shit he still is?

YOU'RE WORSE THAN PAUL KITSON!

He has always spoken highly of his time at the Albion, shame there are small minded tossers like you around.

Barretts goal return was appalling when he was down here, but there was no lack of effort on his part. I wouldn't exactly say I have "fond" memories of Barrett, but his attitude was spot-on and he always gave his all for us. Bit harsh to call him a wanker I'd say.

Certainly not a wanker. Said kind things about his time at The Albion and would have jumped at a contract if we had offered one.

Nothing but respect for him (but glad we did'nt sign him)!

I take none of you lot noticed his 'celebration' in front of J/H block then?

I take it no one realised why he was being booed after that goal then?

Thank you. I too would speak highly of an organisiation that paid my wages for a year without me having to do anything in return.

And he was worse than Paul 'scored twice as many as Barrett' Kitson.

Lammy, considering the, IMHO, abuse he was getting from there you can hardly blame him for making a gesture.

I was talking to some Coventry fans before the game and there opinion is pretty much the same as most here. That is, he's a trier if not a prolific scorer. He's no wanker though, very harsh.

Right up until his gesture to the crowd I didn't think he was a wanker either. I just thought he was a very poor goal scorer that you couldn't fault or effort. Of course he is going to get stick from the crowd, he only scored one goal for us after playing an entire season up front! Coventry are the opposition and are there to be wound up. It's not like he's and Albion legend or anything.

The rest of the team were celebrating together when Barrett turned around to J/H block and bunched his fist in the air whilst shouting someting at us (couldn't hear what). It is this unprofessionalism that means he is a wanker in my book. To my knowledge he wasn't booed until this moment.

Bit like Scott McGleish really. All he did was wind up the Albion faithful and he is considered a complete ****. I'm not saying that what Barrett did was a bad as that but IMHO makes him a wanker.

I can see I'm alone in this.

Agree

Right up until the very end of his BHA FC career, Barrett used to be one of my favourite players (that sounds a bit childish?!!), he always gave maximum effort (like Gary Hart) just never had his scoring boots on

Be interesting to see Bobby's reaction if he plays against us and West Ham score - if he goes mad in front of the away fans at Upton Park should he/will he be booed? Hope not....

I remember when Peter Ward played for Forest against us in the old Div 1 at the Goldstone and some in the North Stand were booing him during the warm up.

Where were you sitting ? I was in Block G and I certainly heard the abuse as did the Coventry fans and one of their match reports said as such. What did surprise me is that Richard Shaw didn't get more abuse.

I was sitting in H Block and Barrett was getting the usual "You're shit", "Couldn't hit a barn door with a bango" etc. Pretty run of the mill and a lot of it was tongue in cheek. It obviously pissed him off though beacuse he made a deliberate gesture towards the Brighton fans when they scored. Unprofessional, a bookable offence and also makes him a wanker IMHO.

To answer the other Zamora question. I doubt very much that Zamora would do that as he would NEVER get abused (maybe the odd Brighton reject chant). But if he did celebrate in front of the Albion fans then I'd expect him to get a lot of stick for it. I seriously doubt he would though.

What do I know though I'm just a small minded tosser...

Barrett is a wanker of the highest order.

1. He was shit for us with 1 goal in 28 games which helped to seal our relegation. If we had had someone else who could have hit a barn door we may not have gone down.
2. He runs around a lot but that does not make you a good footballer.
3. He appears to still be shit for Coventry
4. He gave it large to H&J block punching the air and calling us tossers or something similar after Coventry scored.

He had massive verbal abuse from me after this.

Most of the footballing points you have listed could be used for Gary Hart, yet last week people on here were stating that he should replace Currie, mmm.

Gary Hart is a winger and not a centre forward.
