Toby and JFC could do with a longer spell out on loan, and as previous poster's have mentioned, getting them to remain local would be good and less unsettling to them. Why not?

It seems you do have some players that would do a decent job for us in League One.We will certainly be getting players in soon, so hopefully one or two may join up with Kuipers, who we are keeping on by the way.He did a fantastic job in goal for us at a critical time of the season and played a huge part in getting us over the line.

With Sean O'Driscoll and Steve Coppell we have two people with good reputations for wanting to play passing football, they are also both well respected in football, so im sure Gus Poyet would be very keen to build a relationship with them, this would benefit Brighton and Crawley.

Tommy has composure on the ball that others don't always have, even though he is still learning his trade.

I wouldn't say Tommy Elphick has composure on the ball. Before his injury he just didn't seem to understand the passing game. They would be confidently knocking round it back, pass it to Elphick, who, if even under the slightest bit of pressure, would hoof it upfield. Luckily we had Murray up top to get on the end of it and generally make the aimless clearance look a lot better than it was. If he was to do that now we would just lose possession. Which does rather go against our possession based game.

Would be great if JFC and maybe Agdestein could get some regular football just up the road.

Othwerwise please help yourselves to Ankergren, Painter, Elphick and Dicker - all free of charge and would do very well back in League 1.

I wouldn't get rid of Vincelot nor Hoskins.

Same. Vincelot did well when he played and he is a very useful sub. And Hoskins didn't have a chance to prove himself last season and when he did play I thought he looked good.

Great idea to shift players to crawley,we have loads of average league 1 players, also many promising youngsters.what about that highly rated left back we paid a fair few quid for?loaning to crawley is a must next season:)

Lets help our baby brothers:)

we had quite a few players that played loads for us in league 1 but may be a tad frozen out next season

both of our goalkeepers have played in league 1....ankergren was our keeper for the title winning campaign....but to be honest both were "shakey" at championship level

marcos painter was an ever present (i think?) at left back and was mr. dependable...a bit too slow for the championship however

tommy elphick was injured all of last season, may be worth a loan to get his fitness back

by all account, ryan harley was brilliant for exeter in league 1....you can have him

vincelot, again, was very good for dagenham in league 1....he didn't play a great deal last year

dicker and sparrow are both good league 1 midfielders, depending on who we get in for next season at least 1 of them may want a bit more 1st team football

hoskins is a top league 1 striker and his career hasn't really taken off here....

plus if you're playing good football under SO'D then you might be a decent loan option for some of our young players (agdestein, forster-caskey, kasim, hall etc.)
Gus has talked about bringing in five new players, so assuming two players for every position there's no way we're going to be getting rid of most of these. Especially if seven subs come back.

There is a Red SIDE of Sussex? That rather inaccurately suggests it's a 50/50 split. Which I think we'd all agree is far from the case :lolol:

Can someone suggest a more suitable unit of size with which to describe the portion of Sussex that is occupied by Crawley fans?

Dont go all Billy big bollocks mate, its only a user name.

If you look at the population of Sussex you weren't exactly pulling them in at the Withdean stadium.
What were you getting,6 to 7 thousand, hardly a huge %of the sussex population.
Even a shiny new stadium has failed to entice the sussex population to come flocking in huge numbers. It has probably added another 10,000 JCL'S,hardly a huge %of the Sussex population is it.

Lets face it,there are way more people in this county who support premiership clubs rather then Brighton or Crawley.

When do you reckon those in charge at Crawley Town should get on the blower to those in charge at Brighton and enquire about players who could move up the A23 and do a job for us in League One.
I guess like all clubs Brighton will be improving their squad in the next couple of months, so could we see a few players do a decent job in league One for Crawley that didnt quite cut it in the championship for Brighton.
I wonder if you will oblige us with one or two quality loan players now we could offer them League One football.
So just in case any of you bump into Gus Poyet in the next few weeks,do us a favor, put a word in for your Sussex neighbours.ta in advance.

you can have Harley

What are you banging on about?? 20,000 average attendance last season. Virtually every game sold out for home fans with expansion underway and BHA in the top ten in the country for season ticket holders. I think that qualifies as "flocking"
