Champions of all England, Europe, Universe and beyond come out to Leeds Leeds Leeds (that'll be Leeds United).

That dates back to the early 70s, so hardly old.

This has certainly been sung at Newcastle United for many, many years - and certainly a lot longer than anything similar has been sung down our way.

A song that is dear to my heart, since one of my grandads lived in Scotswood Road and the other lived in Blaydon.

I don't think they actually run out to it though, as per the thread.

For that I think they use a piece called "Going Home" by Mark Knopfler.

Exactly, I know there are plenty of songs sung at games that predate GOSBTS but it seems that there are very few, if any, that are "run onto the pitch to" songs?
