Is he ever going to get any praise on here? Last season El-Abd took all the plaudits, now it seems to be Dunk.

Greer was absolutely magnificent yesterday, Pompey couldn't get past him. Outstanding performance from the captain!

Quality player. I think the difference is that we now expect him to be good, and he doesn't disappoint.

My thoughts too, just getting a little concerned that with us top of the league and his impressive performances, there is still time for a Prem club to come in for him (ie Blackburn) who need a defender, but his value is certainly rising.

He's the Captain, you expect it from him given his status and wage.

Dunk's young and home grown so people will naturally pump up his performances a bit more.

Can't believe we got Greer for only £250K. What a bargain that is. He has been fantastic so far this season and he helps Dunk so much. Yesterday was probably the best performance I have seen from him for us. Can't believe Swindon fans claimed they were happy to see him go.

Yes but although its expected, delivering is a different matter. For me Greer came back hungrier, leaner, fitter and better this season.

I would suggest he is one our our star players.

I love him.

Best CB we have had for a good few years imho. Couldn't believe it against Donny when the two morons behind me were going on about Greer being the week link in our defense??

He and the rest of the team are really going to be tested on Tuesday though, Greer will need to be epic alongside Dunk.

Absolutely unbelievable. Reads the game as good as anyone at the club and a real asset to the club. Only player in our starting X1 that could play in the Premier League at the moment IMO.

Agree, I'd like to think it's because everyone realises it and there's nothing to discuss - he is pure quality, one of our most important and best players.

He was quality yesterday, I went to Pompey with a friend who said Greer was outstanding. During the game Greer did his captaining responsibilities by letting both Ankergren and Calderon know exactly what he thought of their antics on seperate occasions during the first half.

Greer and Dunk could be forming a lasting partnership

Yup I think we are used to pumping up the unexpected stars -El Abd's renaissance or Dunk's impressive young talent.

Quite right we take a moment to laud Gordon. Immense player, seemingly getting better. Looks absolutely at home in this league.
