FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
With all the threads on how well Dunky is performing ( Understandable )

I think its about time our skipper got the credit he deserves.

Without doubt my favorite player this season, seems to have trimmed up from last season and for me is THE reason why Dunk has been so good.

Gordon I salute you.:bowdown::bowdown:

Thought he was excellent today. And has been all season. He was one of the ones I half wondered about in terms of whether he'd make the step up, but he's been immense, generally speaking.

Yes Gordon has been brilliant, no question about it. Always expected of GG to step up to this level and we'd have been surprised if he'd struggled. Dunk on the other hand has done extremely well, 19 years old and establishing himself in the team at this point, amazing! El Abd and Tommy won't shift him when fit. Another clean sheet today, they said on the radio "I can't see us conceding today". Brilliant!

He is very good, although from his time here so far he also seems very red-card-able.

That old chestnut. So how many times has been sent off so far this season then? And for that matter, how many times last season? Not exactly a lot is it, considering the tackles he has to make.

Things are going too well, let's find a problem where one don't exist.

Isn't it only three or four times in his career? At thirty, that's not a bad tally for a centre back. Could have got that figure wrong, though...

It seems that GG was overshadowed last year by the IMMENSE improvement by El-Abd, beyond anyone's wildest imagination, and this year by the IMMENSE performance by the nineteen year old Dunk.

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
In the past few season our defenders would try and say hold the attacker down, or nudge them in the back, and get booked for it.

Mr. Greer is very subtle, and can get away with "stuff", and I think that makes him a very smart defender. A great team leader on the pitch as well, surely should be getting a Scotland cap very soon :clap:
