Ha ha - thank you! Yes, made it through to the semi somehow, after winning by one second after extra time. I let an early two goal lead slip.

Next match against Southampton - let’s see if I can keep up! Probably not, as the Southampton guy seems able to type extremely quickly, based upon his quarter final performance.

Ah well, it has been a good bit of football related fun!

The joy of following Paul Heaton, I also followed his last tournament 'who's next to Paul' good to see some Albion interest in this one. Seems a proper nice bloke as well as a musical genius.

I didn't think it would come to much originally, but folk seemed to enjoy it.

Everyone who wants to play is placed in a league. Although the next one may have three divisions (the allocations being decided on how well they did previously, although you have clearly done enough to warrant a fast track).

The players in each league then play a round robin against each other, each one answering the same set of questions. Thus if say, you score 5 and your opponent 3 on that set of questions, you get the three points from the match.

When we had one league the top four went into the play-offs, but next time round we may have promotion and relegation.

So basically it's not a question of who scores the most points it's about scoring more points than your opponent in your individual game. As a guide here is the final set of results from the original league.

Nervous about the final tomorrow - the 3rd/4th play off last night was ridiculously difficult!
