Hmmm, looking it up Cambridge v Palace FAC was indeed round 6, but was in 1990. I must have been thinking of the Division 2 visit to the Abbey in October 1983.

Difficult when you are watching it in the pub with the sound down; but was underwhelmed. I just thought Cambridge decided their only chance was set pieces and high balls into the box - which given the way United have played this season I can understand - but apart from that I was disappointed to see them not press United more. The way they let them frig about until they got 35 yards from Cambridge's goal irritated me intensely.
But, hey ho! They got a draw and a pay day at Old Trafford. Just thought it could have been so much more exciting if they'd set about it a different way. Or maybe I am living in the past.....

That was not a game to watch with the sound down.
Cambridge created some chances. If they'd have been more gung-ho, they would have lost, but they were far from negative. It was a really exciting cup night. But the volume needed to be turned up!
