Harsh. I enjoyed most Hornby books and resulting films. Quite often, the films weren't entirely faithful to the book, but that's not always a bad thing.


Personally, I think the Harry Potter films have been mostly shit. The last one (complete with different director) was particularly disappointing. *edit, biscuit beat me to it*

And the 1950s War of the Worlds was a totally crap version of HGWells masterpiece. Don't believe the guff that American film reviewers tell you about it, it's shit.
