Anyone else going to see Gong at the Corn Exchange on Sunday? Not seen them before but have most of their music, Camembert Electrique has been in my top ten since about '79, wonderful album.

Saw Planet Gong play a free gig in the car park of Medway College Of Art in 1977, supported by ATV and the Pop Rivets. Groups that could play their instruments were generally to be spat upon in them there days, but the Gongers were so loveably doolally and out of it that you couldn't help but love 'em to death really

Bollocks!!! I am heading to Yorkshire on Sunday night for work and too late to change arrangements - how did I miss out on hearing about this?

Looks like a genuine 1970's lineup as well.

Never saw Gong, saw the Here & Now Band & Steve Hillage several times in the late 1970's but not the same thing......

Oh well at least they are still touring, hopefully I'll get to see them next time around before any more of them drop dead (Pip Pyle, drummer on Superphils favourite album snuffed it last year - given the amount of drugs they all did I'm amazed any of them are still around!).

Enjoy!

That Daevid is nuts, 73 years old, and Gilly is 78, but still they clown about and put on a great show. His pixie outfits are superb, if that is possible. But his t shirt was so silly "Nobody Knows I'm a Lesbian". No Flying teapots but we got some Cheese Rock, 'twas excellent.
