As it was intended.
Well I've done my bit to steer it on its intended course, with regard to which, it would be remiss of me not to give an honourable mention to Bibi Vogel, who was one of the original vocalists in Brasil 66 and the only Brazilian of the four female vocalists mentioned. She appeared on the front cover of "Herb Alpert Presents: Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66". Vogel left the group quite early after their incarnation and was replaced by Janis Hansen (later replaced by Karen Philipp).
After leaving the group Vogel pursued a career in acting. Like Karen Philipp (but unlike Janis Hansen and Lani Hall, Vogel also had a brief dalliance in the soft porn industry appearing in a Brazilian Playboy spread in 1975. Vogel later became a feminist and humanitarian activist. In 1980, she founded the Breastfeeding Supporting Mothers Group.
Vogel has the added distinction of not only being the only Brazilian of the four female vocalists mentioned, but also the only one not to reach the age of 74. She died aged 62 in 2004.
