Connor Goldson believes Albion proved their team spirit is still rock solid by grinding out a win at Blackburn.
Goldson and Lewis Dunk stood out in the middle of defence as the Seagulls secured a 1-0 success at Ewood Park.
It was a first win and first clean sheet for the former Shrewsbury defender.
He said: “It’s a great win and we needed it.
“We have had a tough month a few bad results.
“I saw Tomer Hemed make a slide tackle in the 85th minute on the edge of his own box.”
Albion led from the third minute through bobby Zamora’s goal.
Goldson added: “We said at half-time a clean sheet wins us the game and the whole team played their part.
“Hopefully we’ve turned the page now and we can go on another run.”
