Nope, Northumberland and Edinburgh. Maybe a different event? I don't recall hearing anything on South Today about any local gold medallists.

On the subject of local medal winners, I went to school in Brighton with a girl called Saskia Clark who would be about 31/32/33 years old now. I saw one of the ladies who won a medal in the boating had the same name. Can't be many of them around, does anybody know if she was from Brighton or grew up in Brighton??
