Going to USA - Advice needed :)

Went to New York few weeks ago. Were told repeatedly in advance by Virgin Atlantic that it is essential we do the online thing before we travel. We did, and also had to complete the green form on the flight.

Yet, somehow, around 50 people managed to balls it up after queuing ages and had to go to the back of the queue. The stupidity of the general public never ceases to amaze me.

Took 12 minutes from back of the queue to front at JFK on Presidents Day weekend. We'd allowed 4 hours.

Sorry that we're such a bunch of dickheads. Didn't used to be this way, doesn't have to be this way. It's all security theatre, designed to keep the Great American Public -- or the part of it that votes -- from pissing itself in fear.

The new electronic visa is only valid if you arrive by air or sea. If you travel across the border by car from Canada or Mexico, then the electronic version does not apply and you will have to fill out the green card.
