Definitely Jerusalem.

God Save The Queen is tuneless and about nothing.

Land of Hope and Glory. Jerusalem too religious.

Off My Trolley.
That refers specifically to Britain and/or the UK doesn't it?

No mention of any country/place.

I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above,
Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love;
The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test,
That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.

And there's another country, I've heard of long ago,
Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;
We may not count her armies, we may not see her King;
Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;
And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase,
And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace.

Jerusalem is the worst possible choice. The place is the centre of most of the world's problems today. It epitomises the religious hatred which is destroying us all.

Why on earth would we want to build it in England's green and pleasant land?

The tune is beautiful, but the words? No way!

God Save The Queen for me. Always gives me goose bumps and makes me proud to be English. It's the best National Anthem by a country mile.

That said I do like Jerusalem & Land Of Hope & Glory as well.

Problem is that GSTQ is British, so we need something definitively English. how about Vindaloo. A real stirring anthem.

Slightly unfortunate, since it isn't the National Anthem of England.

Quite embarrassing that we don't actually have one and have to borrow.
