Burnley striker Gifton Noel Williams has agreed a deal to join Spanish outfit Real Murcia.

The 27-year-old was omitted from Burnley's 1-0 defeat at Derby on Tuesday with manager Steve Cotterill explaining that the hit-man was due to complete his move to Spain on Wednesday.

"Gifton is joining Real Murcia tomorrow for £50,000," he stated.

"He's been good for us of late but he was coming to the end of his contract and we wish him well."

Noel-Williams will join a Murcia side who are flying high in Spain's Segunda Division.

They currently sit second in the table, six points behind leaders Real Valladolid, and will be pushing to secure promotion to the top-flight in the second half of the season.

It will be interesting to see how he gets on there, not sure his style will suit the spanish league.

There is a big ex-pat population around Murcia so he should settle in well, he'll just need to avoid the racialists.

I think it will, it is less kick and rush than England, which will suit him what with him being slow, but with a good touch.

I agree with you, it's his mobility that would let him down I think. He literally can't move which against continetal defenders could be a problem.
